Leaning on Dark Solutions

Creating a system that relies so heavily on technology could make us vulnerable, should a solar flare wipe it all out, or hackers using AI โ€“ or Artificial General Intelligence itself (AGI) โ€“ decide to take it down, for example. (See Getting to Equality โ€“ Fair Resource Distribution and Democracy).

Iโ€™d prefer to unplug our dependence on day-to-day living from the internet/technology and return to a cash-based society, thereby instantly weakening the corporate monopolies without the need for mini anarcho-syndicalist revolutions within corporations (below) while restoring privacy. However, I believe this is now unrealistic. Most of us, especially in the over-developed world, have become too used to the convenience of digital money, and thereโ€™s probably no going back, for now, at least. Perhaps my imagination is too small. Perhaps if AGI becomes a real threat, weโ€™ll be forced to de-digitise our lives to survive; to switch off the internet connecting it all.

Regardless of how we proceed, the resilience of healthy human relations should be the priority, and the project should always aim for independence from these proposed foundational technologies in the long run.

To this end, we should nurture the informal economy and encourage reciprocal obligations that build relationships, grow trust, and strengthen community resilience, enabling the exchange of real human value. This informal economy should not be restricted, although weโ€™ll have to watch for black market TEETS negative activities206/207.

Ideally, weโ€™d find ways of sharing without the checks and balances of money, at all, which asks for a lot of healing from โ€˜civilisationโ€™ and a Eutopian mindset.

Note: Do not attempt a UBI within a centralised system.

Please try using the (efficient) โ€˜Six Thinking Hatsโ€™ method of parallel thinking for sharing your ideas.
It helps us to organise our thoughts and feelings. Wear the Black Hat for critisism/doubts; the Green hat for creative suggestions; the Yellow for positive responses, Red for gut feelings; White for information. I am wearing the Blue Hat now, when I say we are here to design Eutopia.

Simply write โ€˜Blackโ€™, โ€˜Yellowโ€™, โ€˜Greenโ€™, etc, before your given response. Then, start a new paragraph for ideas of a different coloured hat.
