Art of Climbing Trees BETA
A book for aspiring Eutopians
By Henrik G Dahle & Co.

A book based on the diary I kept while climbing 365 trees. A walkabout through four seasons, around 10 countries, and a daily playful appointment with extra/ordinary trees. I was joined by eighty ‘co-climbers’ โ€“ professors, children, artists, economists, activists….. whimsical and weighty conversations โ€“ ultimately aiming to understand how we can break the cycle of violence and exploitation once and for all; to create an achievable eutopia.

Find academia and impressionism โ€“ art, poetry, fiction, and conversation within the 464 pages, alongside 1700 photos, illustrations and diagrams. This adventure, and 12 years of research have culminated in a 35 page ‘Greenprint’ / suggestions for transition / pragmatic solutions for sharing the Earth as a decentralised eco-socialist Eutopia (a standalone work of radical practical visioning. Anthropology, psychology, economy, patriarchy, property, work, resistance, resistance to the resistance, etc).ย

This work of art and thinking took me 15 years to complete, and I was incredibly relieved when the shipment of books arrived; the weight of responsibility to all my supporters and contributors was finally balanced by a tonne of fresh books that I could be proud to share. The author credit reads Henrik G Dahle & Co, and these Co’s span three pages at end. Thank you!

I spent a long time choosing the paper (from the most sustainable factory in the world, allegedly, in Sweden), and recycled cover stock from France, and I couldn’t be happier. It feels earthy, and light, despite its size: 27cm x 21cm x 4.5cm, weighing 1kg.ย

I’d love to hear from you with your thoughts, feedback, and suggestions.
