Hand made from an old tin globe (1976), mounted on a booklet with a poem about utopia that you can read here, and signed by the artist (who was also made in 1976).

World Piece is a project I launched to support finishing Art of Climbing Trees. Within the book, I wrestle with world peace; in one of the longest enTrees I try to solve it! Are we really going to settle for this violent mediocrity?
Pieces are mounted on sterling silver-plated studs. The backs are given two coats of Jewelry Shield lacquer to guard against allergy.
SIZE: 7mm x 7mm – 9mm x 9mm across approx.
The globe’s scale is 1:54,795,000, so each 10mm sq. represents about 548 sq km (211 sq. miles).
